Advice for US Conference Organizers

  • Offer hybrid option. (There are VERY good reasons that folks may not be comfortable coming to the US.)
  • Know the status of anti-trans legislation efforts in your state. Trans people may not be able to come to your state safely, due to bathroom bills, restrictions on driving, etc.
  • Be aware that citizens of many countries are completely unable to travel to the US.

  • Local legal contacts: ask allies for pro bono legal support in response to ICE in your area and come up with a list.
  • Give organiser contact information to participants
  • Consider adding “Let’s Meet in the Lobby” or other social option for those who can’t attend
